We changed our name from T.D. Wang to TDW+Co just in time to have it etched into some lovely trophies over the last month.
Working in the world of agencies and ideas, there’s no better reward than bringing a client success through creativity and hard work. We live for that, and let it fuel our all-nighters and our best campaigns – it’s why we do what we do. But hey, if we get a little recognition for our clients and ourselves in front of a bunch of our peers once in a while, who are we to refuse?
Over the past few weeks, TDW+Co had the honor of attending several fantastic national award shows in the multicultural marketing industry, and we’re proud to say we came home with something shiny for the mantle.
Gold Award “Best Multicultural Event Campaign”
First, we stormed the hills and trollies of San Francisco on May 11th, grabbing the gold for our work with Verizon FiOS. The “Estadio FiOS” campaign turned the intense energy of 2014 World Cup fan fever into a showcase for Verizon’s products for Latino consumers in FiOS markets across the nation. Safe to say, we exceeded their GOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAL.

Gold Award “Branded Content Campaign of the Year”
TDW+Co kept the gold rush a-flowin’ in Los Angeles on May 13th, securing 1st place for our work with Verizon Wireless on the I Am_ Campaign.
The campaign is one part digital, one part onsite events, and most importantly, for a great cause. We brought Verizon and CAPE (Coalition of Asian Pacifics in Entertainment) together to highlight Asian American empowerment in mainstream media. The social and digital campaign launched during the celebration of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month, drawing focus to Verizon’s long-standing commitment to the community.

Finalist “Best Campaign”
While it wasn’t striking gold exactly, we were very proud to be recognized as one of 5 finalists for Best Campaign at the 2015 Augment World Expo in Silicon Valley. Our 2015 Lunar New Year campaign for Verizon Wireless featured a “digital lucky bag,” connecting the New Year traditions of many east Asian countries with an exciting augmented reality experience on consumer’s smartphones.
The Auggie Awards are an international show, attended by 3000 guests from 41 countries – finishing in the top 5 of over 100 campaigns and 10,000 votes feels pretty good. The way we roll, it just motivates us to come back with an even more augmented reality next year.
