In 2012, President Obama implemented Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), a policy granting rights and benefits to the children of certain undocumented immigrants. Nonprofit NEO Philanthrophy wanted to make sure that eligible AAPIs throughout the country heard about the policy and applied for its benefits. NEO engaged TDW+Co to develop culturally relevant DACA outreach materials–logos, taglines, and posters–that we transcreated into Chinese, Korean, Hindi, and Tagalog.

We also created a 123-page Strategic Communications Toolkit, geared toward helping community-based organizations and other nonprofits market their DACA-related services. To train our CBO partners on the topics in the toolkit, we held a series of webinars where participants dialed in from across the country and submitted questions. We’re proud to have helped spread the word on a policy that has helped make a difference to so many lives across the country.
