The 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil presented an opportunity for Verizon to engage with millions of soccer fans domestically here in the U.S. with the Estadio (“Stadium”) FiOS campaign. Estadio FiOS was ideated, managed and executed by TDW+Co from start to finish showcasing Verizon FiOS’ fiber-optic network and superior speed. The concept was brought to life by bringing the stadium experience to shopping malls al across the country, heavily promoted in Spanish and English media. The interactive stadiums incorporated the entertainment value of FiOS technology, soccer-themed games and contests, ESPN Deportes live radio remotes, and special guest appearances by Carlos “El Pibe” Valderrama, a famed Colombian soccer star. TDW+Co’s work resulted in a significant increase in FiOS product sales, media coverage by local and digital media outlets across the country and more than 1.7 million impressions.
